The drafting pencils feature all wood casing of western cedar that is specially treated for easy sharpening. The non-porous leads result in extra-long, durable points and produce dense lines of high opacity. Available in seventeen degrees of hardness, 6B which is soft through 9H which is hard. The lead hardness is determined by the clay to graphite ratio; harder drafting lead has a higher percentage of clay than softer sketching leads. The Kimberly pencils are finished in dark green and have the degree clearly stamped on them. They are sold in packages of 12.
